    'Blood Work' works!

    As expected a movie containing Clint Eastwood had to have impact. This movie is taken from the book of the same title by Michael Connelly. This plot is complicated and keeps you guessing right till the end with an unexpected finish. It takes you on a journey of elimination of facts as the truth is hunted down. I love this type of plot, it keeps your interest all through as for a change the main character is not a physical crime battling detective, but a hunter of facts. A very good movie following an investigtion from staart to finish.

    This can't be right????

    I have read all of the books by Michael Connelly but Blood Work has evaded me so I bought it off ebay. After reading it I then decided to get the dvd. I have to say that it was totally frustrating to watch because there were parts of the story that did not match the book. I realise that it's pretty impossible to make a film that fits the book entirely but the changes in the film were just wrong. I have no problem with the acting, how can you fault Clint Eastwood but still frustrated.

    Blood Work movie

    It is an entertaining film, typical of an Eastwood production , with a few intriguing twists and a surprising finale. The only downside was the fact that Clint's voice seems to get huskier as time passes and I now have difficulty in understanding what he says. However, the thread of the tale is easily followed and there are some interesting locations and characters involved. A female police inspector proved to be a particularly strong and pleasant character that is memorable. Altogether, a good buy.
