I have a 12-watt hand wired Princeton clone, volume on 4 too loud for home, use the hot plate -8db to 12db with the bright & deep switches and my amp retains that "open, responsive, feel" to it with no loss of tone. My amp also has a greater response to its built-in reverb and all my pedals. (od, chorus, delay etc.) Andy is also a pleasure to do business with.
