Accurate, but bring some setup/EQ with you..........
System came in a LARGE box (58#). The upper portion of the box will hold a receiver, so it does double-duty that way. Came well wrapped and secured in styrofoam moldings. What I liked about this system is the height of the L/R speakers, placed beside the TV, are the same height as the screen on my furniture. They are black and blend in well with the room. It replaced an existing ONKYO system that served me well for years. The ONKYO receiver HDMI card went out and was replaced with a Denon AVR unit that reviewed well. When setup with the Audyssey system, the distances were all wrong, so I manually set the system up. That done I started EQ'ing the system. Factory flat, there is a lot of mid in the L/C/R speakers that I find ear fatiguing. The Audyssey setup likes to do a LOT of boosting too, ... System came in a LARGE box (58#). I also set the limiter so my wife won't crank the system and have the neighbors calling..................when the basketball games come on. The mids/highs are OK, accurate enough for TV and music, they aren't exotics by any means, but they image well and don't distort when pushed moderately hard. They ARE wooden boxes so there's no "plastic-box" enclosure bleed-thru like the older system I had. The sub likes to be driven a little so you may find yourself boosting the lows a bit ( the sub CAN take it). Locate the sub away from any cavity for the most accurate bass. Don't just stick it in a corner and expect it to sound tight and punchy. Experiment with sub locations if you can. These are an EXCELLENT value for the $$$. I see why they sell a lot of these systems, not many manufacturers come close to this level of performance VS $$$.

I would never have thought a speaker upgrade would be so good...Best Money spent on EBAY If you need new speakers, look for the care of the unit, scratches and so on....If no scratches on the bass speaker...good deal...
