    Good

    It is a circular saw, after all, and by a good manufacturer. Yes, it works, it's accurate, powerful and solidly reliable. There is no nasty snatch at start up, the blade tip is visible and the line guide notch is accurate. I particularly like the little holder for the blade change allen key - nice thought. If I was to grouse, it's that the power cable is too stiff in cold weather so that it fouls things and can pull the saw off line if you're not careful. Other than that, to be recommended.

    MAKITA HS6601 240v Circular saw 165mm blade

    Great saw, cut through 25 mm exterior ply no problem, plenty of power, easily set up for depth, angle etc & very controllable. I'm not a professional and this suits me for DIY jobs like the flat roof I've just replaced. Highly recommended saw for this type of stuff.

    Can't fault this product whatsoever. The build quality is excellent, just what you'd expect from Makita. Cuts smooth and accurate with great control. Have experienced kick back with cheaper brands but this baby is a dream.

    Its Makita, what more can be said

    Excellent for Metal roof cladding, having a low profile allows for easier handling and control when cutting. Underneath the gear housing next to the cutting blades is prone to scratches, I made a small stainless cover plate which attaches to this area and prevents wear and tear. Makita you should make them.
