The bed is wooden and seems sturdy, it took a while to put together but seems solid. It's also quite high with the mattress on top. The only complaint I have is that my delivery slot was 12-3pm and the bed didn't arrive until past 8pm and there was no communication - we had to phone to enquire about the delay ourselves.
