    Easy to use dark wax polish.

    I repaired a very old oak fender for use on our fireplace hearth and had to stain the new oak section to match the old oak ... Having stained the new wood with a water-based stain, I needed a darker wax polish to give it a shine ... This Antiquax polish did the trick perfectly with a couple of applications ... I also used the clear version of this polish on the old oak part of the fender ... My Wife thinks it is absolutely wonderful, but I will give the new oak part another polish with the dark wax and then I will also be happy ... I therefore give both types of polish a full five stars.

    An old fashioned polish for vintage furniture

    The spray polish is quicker to use but doesn't get the best effect. I needed a thick wax polish to help cover up some damage (cup of tea spilled down one side) that I had tried to repair with felt tip colourant. And the first coat has worked very well indeed, with the promise that with each application the finish gets better. Also the colour of the wax is closer to the original than the felt tip colour, which is rather too reddish. So I am pleased that it has helped restore a 100 year old piece of furniture to something close to its original condition. Excellent product.
