    Not much to choose between various makes these days. The Sony item is adequate for all duties and reliable. Have used this brand and model before , and would buy again.

    Stable CD-RW and DVD-RW recorder

    I use it under Linux Mint, it's burn good CD-RW and DVD-RW with different booting ISO images of Windows. Computer is with Asus H81-plus motherboard, 2x8Gb DDR3 G.Skill, 500GB Samsung SSD. With chipset video card I connect under HDMI 2K Asus ips monitor. Comp is used for "networking" and to watch records of Formula 1 and MotoGP.
