In the year 1897, a lonely siding on the railway line between Mafeking and Bulawayo was named Plumtree. Near the border between Zimbabwe and Botswana, some 100 kilometres South West of Bulawayo, it lies in an area of dry Savannah bush interspersed with belts of Mopani forest. In the year 1902, a school was built there. A boarding school steeped in rich history and tradition. A school that through the generations, shaped the future of thousands of boys. This book is not a historical account of the school's past, neither is it a glowing tale of its achievements. If anything, it may well be the opposite. The author attended Plumtree School in the mid 1980s. These are a few stories from that time. Light-hearted, funny, and poignant, this diary can be read in two hours or less. Read It!
