Seller notes: “The book is a hardback and I believe the date of publication is circa 1926 due to the writing on ... “The book is a hardback and I believe the date of publication is circa 1926 due to the writing on the inside of the front cover (see photo 4) However it could be 1906. The book has one coloured illustration by John 'Jack' Monsell (see photo 5) though curiously enough the illustration appears to be from Rapunzel which is not one of the tales in this book .The Book has the odd mark here and there including a small tear on the contents page (see photo 6) and has age related yellow spots on some of the pages especially on the introductory pages. The page containing the illustration has slightly come away from the binding at the bottom and the spine of the outside cover has become detached from the main binding. However the main binding is intact and I would describe the overall condition of the book as acceptable.”
