        Good lens - Good focal ranges

        I have two complaints about the lens. One is the aperture (3.5-5.6) . I have a Sony A7s ii and you can tell the image isn't great with this lens. Also, the focus ring is stiff compared to modern lenses otherwise this lens is great for the price and the focal range compared to Sonys kit lens. (28-70)

        Its plastic and wobbly

        The inner lens housing is plastic and after some time of usage a play develop between the inner and outer housing. So now when the lens is fully extented the inner housing wobbles. So I would say that the build quality is not the best

        Often found used and cheap.

        A lens that is suited to general use, great starter lens, backup lens, everyday lens, wide and telephoto lens in zoom range. A vlogging lens at 18mm, portrait at 55mm, and standard at 35mm. It allows closeup images too, not quite macro, but near enough to take nice images of bugs and things. However, don't expect perfect sharpness, it is OK, but it is the origin budget lens for sony aps-c mirrorless camera.

        Good Kit Lens for APS-C Sony E

        Amongst many kit lenses on the market this one is above average. Especially at 55mm it is good when compared to other ones. It does not beat Fujifilm 16-50mm XC lens in sharpness but on the other hand, it has a bit better reach. Black version is not so easy to find. It looks quite gorgeous and build quality is also quite high. Warmly recommended for casual Sony E APS-C camera users!

        A Great Lens

        An absolutely great lens and a must have, sadly I purchased one off e Bay not realising it was for the C size Sony camera and mine was full frame, so not all the functions worked, but the 3 images I managed to capture were of great detail.
