    Dog lover, child - or TV watching dog - you will love this version of a true story!

    Delightful version of a true story, that I'd read as a child. I now own a similar breed of dog, with a very similar temperament. He actually watches TV and can follow a storyline, on a par with a 3 year old child. He watched this film from start to finish - anxious when bad or sad things happened, waggy and excited when the urchin children appeared, growling when the graveyard attendant chased dog and children out of the graveyard - and when, at the end of the film, the little dog led the pipers band down the parade ground, having been given the key to the city, he pointed his nose to the ceiling and gave the triumphant howl, he uses when really thrilled about something! I highly recommend this version of the true story of a little dog's devotion to those he loves. Ideal for children, ...
