About this product

Product Information

Two-player teamwork overcomes a flood of violent opposition in Army of Two: The 40th Day, a sequel to developer EA Montreal's 2008 high-def debut. The mercenary heroes of the original game, former Army Rangers Elliot Salem and Tyson Rios, return for paramilitary adventure in Shanghai, China, where a rival group of private military contractors has caused a massive disaster that threatens to destroy the entire city. While there are plenty of enemies out to take the duo down, surviving the disasters in the city may be the heroes' greatest challenge.

As in the original Army of Two, cooperative tactics are central to the play of the game, and players must work together in order to make their way past obstacles and stand up to heavy assaults by outnumbering forces. A refined control scheme aims to make common actions easier, allowing players to change weapons or engage in hand-to-hand combat with a single button. The game's built-in co-op playbook allows teammates to execute predetermined maneuvers, such as simultaneous opening shots or a false surrender ruse, at almost any time and place in a mission.

An MMO-like aggro system allows players to manage the attention of computer-controlled enemies, allowing one character to take the role of "tank," while the other takes the role of a healer or damage-dealer. A better-armored character may anger an opponent to draw its fire, for example, while the other character moves around to cause massive damage with an attack from the flank or behind.

In addition to the main story campaign, which can be played with a human partner or a computer-controlled teammate, Army of Two: The 40th Day offers a range of competitive and cooperative online multiplayer options, including team deathmatches, spawn-point control battles, and an "Extraction" survival mode for up to four.

This wonderful game came as described in listing in excellent condition for its age (just slight wear across top panel and top of back.) All discs, manual and box inserts are present as pictured in listing. The Additional Information insert did arrive stuck to cardboard insert inside box, with just a small rip where it had snagged. I appreciated the condition overall for the price. Packaging sufficiently protected item. Shipping was prompt. Great seller.

Fast shipping, well packaged, but it looked like USPS dropped/squished the box. The figure had a little damage. I messaged the seller and he got back to me right away and offered a full refund or a discount if I was still interested in keeping the figure. I chose to keep the figure, seller stepped right up and took care of it. Great communication, item as described. Great seller, would purchase from this seller again! Thank you

Item arrived as expected and listed, packaged well enough that it didn't receive more damage during shipping, and was worth the price listed at.

    Great Game

Have an xbox 1s now but seem to go back to these great "couch co-op" games for 360. Seems game designers are going away from the multiplayer co-op games which is a colossal disappointment. Oh well, I know I can always go back to the 360 games like this one and have a blast with my sons playing side by side. Halo - hello??? Used to love that game but just don't play it since you can only experience it one player campaign. Gears of War 4 at least allows co-op and that game is great too, ARMY of TWO is a great series!!! I recommend buying the first one, go from there. 40th day is great!!!!

  • Great split screen game!

Killer game I introduced to my oldest boy and he loves it Because we can play split screen. The games that are out today don't do that anymore they're mostly multiplayer.

  • Fun enough to play ten times in a row thru all levels.

Fun game. Played them 10 times in a row, went thru all levels, went back again. Graphics are good enough. I have 50 games. These are now my 7th and 8th favorites. If their not in your collection of shooter games then get them!

  • Multiplayer shooter games

War of Two is a good game but what else is good about this game is that its one of the few shooter games that two or more players can play at the same time on the same game I give a thumbs up for that feature.
