    Purchased this soley for the battery registration function for my 2006 E91 and am pleased to report that the confirmation screen duly displayed at the end of the procedure. When I reconnected & went back in to check, it was able to display record of the battery change together with the current mileage (or rather kilometerage). Note - I was replacing like-with-like and opted for "Simple (Common)" mode, rather than "Professional" when presented with the choice. Haven't tried diagnostic function.

    Excellent quality and would recommend.

    Excellent quality for the money. Very easy to use clear and precise instructions on use of tool. Bought too change rear brake pads on x5 ,worked very well. Also the tool allowed me to reset the system to normal. As a bonus you can find and reset faults on the vehicle, fault codes shown on as to where the problem is.

    BMM MINI CAR OBD for BMW's

    Already used to detect fault codes on my three different models of BMW--also used successfully to register new batteries on my 1 and 5 series.Works well and will be a useful tool when i was quoted£80.00 a car for registering the batteries

    Purchased this BMW specific scanner to do some DIY jobs when needed, battery coding rear pad change, service reset etc. Reason I have marked down a star is that I changed rear pads before I purchased this using Youtube help video ref winding back electric park brake Then when BM700 arrived tried to clear fault code for rear pads using the scanner but would not clear so again used another YT clip info to do (ref the 3 press ignition button into diag mode) might be me not using correctly, will get used to in time certainly lots of info on there.

    Useful tool

    Read a lot about scanners in general, as I have 2 bmw,s. a friend has 2 also. We needed a scanner to i/d faults, which we could rectify ourselves. We think that this tool will cover what we need, an tell us what we can repair,upgrade, and what we cannot. Easy to use, plugged in and followed the instructions and registered my new battery in a few minutes. My friend worked out the throttle problem he had, and can repair it. Been worth every penny. Ha!!

    Great value product

    Cheapest way to reset Battery Management System and check DPF levels on a Mk1 Volvo XC60 also heaps of additional diagnostics over a standard OBD2 reader. As an added benefit it was able to tell me which parking sensor was faulty making a DIY fix possible.
