    Vietnam Experience

    This is an excellent presentation of the true realities of serving in a combat unit in Vietnam. Hollywood always has a way of somehow embellishing the reality. It had, as does any war, a very large impact on an entire generation.

    How youthful idealism is lost forever!

    I have read no better book to describe the damage that war does to its warriors, even if a few escape physical wounds. None are unscathed! And the collateral damage to civilians caught up in it is horrendous also.
