    Connection swap

    If you're buying one of these because an old one has died or the buttons need a hefty shove, mine dropped in perfectly and worked first time. Wrong thing to do but I didnt even power the alarm down. Only thing to beware of, pleasr note what is written on each pcb next to the wires you need to change from old to new. Two of them swapped places.

    R8 keypad

    great quality keypad on the early ones numbers used to wear so you could guess codes these appear better i have had some that have failed mainly in a line so numbers 3 6 and 9 don't work but that's after fitting hundreds so on the whole a great kp

    great piece of kit

    If this keypad lasts as long as the original, which has been 15 years plus of twice daily usage, only replacing because numerals worn off on certain buttons, easier to replace than renumber.
