Product Information

Make model moulds quickly and easily with this thermoplastic compound. Immerse Blue Stuff in hot water for three minutes to soften it, then form it around the object you want to make a mould of. When the Blue Stuff cures, use it as a mould to make models from epoxy resin, two-part epoxy putty, or other materials. Includes eight bars (48 g) of reusable Blue Stuff.

    A great tool for experienced modellers

    Very impressed with this product, arrived promptly and was able to start using straight away. The blue stuff does take some practice, so I would recommend the pack that comes with green stuff so you can muddle through your first few moulds. Make sure your work surface is clean and to avoid air pockets. Further, the website uses milliput resin in its example videos, however I've had better results with green stuff. The milliput is good at capturing details, but is much more brittle and easily damaged when removing the casting moulds. Overall I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with at least a couple of years of modelling experience, with adult supervision for younger hobbyists. When used with parts bought from a bits website or swaps, it really reduces costs.

    Need a bit? Make it😁!

    Saw a video of this stuff on a vid.platform..😜 A lot of interestin stuff was produced using it.. so i thought.. "I can do that as well..". And? It realy works.. Have remade a few parts that were missing, works a treet with Milliput, but some practice is required..But simple press moulds are easy, as is making a shield or simpler part. Look at the videos, read up..and the rest comes with practise. Great product easy to use..to bad i did not find it sooner.😊

    Great for bits and gobbins

    This item is great, it's a bit difficult to use at first but if since it's reusable you can take your time to create the perfect mold. The fact that it doesn't take that long to create either makes it very easy to get the hang off. I used dental resin and epoxy putty both and they worked great with blue stuff. With the resin you have to be careful because it can melt the blue stuff again so it's only useful for one part molds (for example when casting bases for miniatures). Otherwise use epoxy putty all the way. All in all very good product.

    Creates molds of model easily and can be reused many times.

    Say you want to modify a model part with out destroying the original. With this Blue Stuff you can make a mould of the part, reproduce it by filling the mould with Green Stuff, and when it has set, modify the reproduction. If you go wrong, no problem! Just crate another part. Accurate moulding does require few attempts to get right. Have a look for How to videos on YouTube. Once you have the skill, reproducing parts is easy.

    Good product, no odour, clean and easy to use and being instantly reuable is a bonus.

    Blue stuff 8 bars: Excellent product and arrived in very good time. I got a reasonable result at first try, but being instantly reusable second attempt was much better. I have given 5 stars, but would have preferred 4 1/2 no reflection on the product, just that the amount of Blue Stuff was less than expected. The item that I was reproducing wasn't very big, but there was little material area left to make good keyways, hence the reasonable result at first try. True, I can buy more, but thought that the 8 bar pack would have been (larger) enough. I will however buy again to supplement the first purchase and I'm sure that I can give the full 5 stars.
