    Great Album, yet different labels of the same CD do sound different

    Tubleweed Connection is an excellent album both in creativity, content, and production. However, be aware that the manufacturer of the CD means a different quality sound. I have an early MCA CD of the album and it sounds different and, I think, better than the Polydor version that I bought on eBay. I am not criticizing the merchant I purchased it from- it was exactly as he described and in perfect condition. However, I detect a difference in the sound. A little cloudier quality, and transferred a little quieter than the MCA version, So, "bits" may be bits on a CD, but different labels of a CD may sound different to your ears as they do to mine. Either way, it's one part of what makes CDs and music as a hobby so entertaining.

    Elton John: Tumbleweed Connection

    John's Tumbleweed Connection is famous for NOT having chart a hit on it...jeez! Anyway, an odd but solid early album from the John/Taupin team, and who'd have guessed that Taupin would fall for the western lifestyle over time? Anyway, the CD is highly recommended.

    Filled out some missing songs

    I have been a Elton John fan since 1975. Amoreena got stuck in my head for some reason after not hearing for MANY YEARS so I had to buy the CD. I also bought the live version on Elton John 17-11-70. Burn Down the Mission is awesome too. Great stuff...
