Given my tap spouts taper to the end and the pipework has no local isolation, it was vital that I only leveraged against the tap itself. This solved the problem. What you never think about is that you also need to tighten it afterwards and so you can do the reassemble as well. I have seen this advertised in a nice box for an extra £10. As a DIYer, that was not needed.
