    Not bad value

    Bought these as my HSS set is running low and have to say for the price its a good set, BUT these are not up to heavy use and some of the smaller sizes I have tried would barely drill butter so a bit disappointed on that front as they struggled with even brass. Put a used HSS drill in and it went through the brass in no time so the ones in this set must be blunt. Tried drilling some studs out of a manifold and even with cutting fluid none of the drills I tried had any effect, true cobalt should have done the job so having to buy some more. I am only recommending these for very light use and the fact the case is good quality but the drills tried so far are certainly not up to the job, maybe I am unlucky with the ones tried so far.

    The Perfect Companion

    A well organised case with sizes which easily catch your eye for the right drill bit.......and having a large amount of the same sizes makes it even more unique if one became blunt or even broken you still have another twist drill to replace it with.........I wouldn't be without the case set.....Brilliant.

    Avoid

    Buy liquorice sticks they won't drill holes But you can eat them These bits don't drill holes either Maybe these are a new type of colbolt That blunt really really fast like as soon as they see another piece of metal they loose their edge

    Large set, clips on box ok

    Great set, good value. However clips on metal case are not great, if you try to store upright, they do not hold, and box opens. You will have to use a strap to hold closed. Otherwise it’s all good

    Cobalt or not

    I need to drill stainless steel and cobalt is recommended it seems unlikely that 170 cobalt bits for this price is real but worth a gamble.i have not used them on stainless but they eat steel and aluminium so I recommend them .
