    Complex, middle-aged but fantastic value

    The menu settings are complex - and generally known to be - so it takes some time and regular references to the manual and to YouTube tutorials to get it to do exactly what you want. Once you’ve mastered it, it’s the best value full-frame camera that I have come across! Generally, I am delighted with it - for what I want. The A7 is getting on a bit now and there are more up to date iterations with more features and much higher prices... so, I would say that it’s not a camera for a beginner, but it fills a gap in my camera bag as an extremely small and lightweight full-frame camera for every day use. My other full-frame camera is a real heavyweight with equally big and heavy lenses. This one will fit easily in my case when I go on my travels and will cope with most situations. ...

    Light & full frame

    This camera has high image quality with a 24MP - Full frame CMOS Sensor, 5 fps continuous shooting and a Weather Sealed Body and remember it is a full frame camera this is what made we want to use one. To me this camera was slightly annoying because it does not have touch screen as I am used too also it has no image Stabilisation.

    Love my A7

    Image quality and white balance is so much better than my old APS-C camera. It's not a massive body but, competes with DSLRs of the same era such as D750, 810 etc. Can't believe full frame was this inexpensive. I can now start to build a modest lens collection and save my pennies for future body upgrades but really don't feel the need for that at this time.

    One of the best

    I have now used my Sony A7 quite a bit it produces the best colour of any camera in its class. I have used the kit lens it came with which is a very capable zoom I have also used it with my manual lenses including my Carl Zeiss Jena Pancola 1.8 50mm. Which produces supreme sharp images. I have several other mirrorless cameras but this is the go to one Recommended for serious photography or video shoots. Definitely worth the money

    Spectacularly Good Value

    Full frame mirrorless camera for the price of an entry level dslr, what's not to like. Maybe not the latest version of the A7 from Sony but it's still a current model and gains access to the e-mount system for a bargain price. The camera is small and neat, reminds me of a Spotmatic or A series Canon from the 70's or 80's and handles well in this comparison. The only minor downside so far is battery life. Get a couple of spares and/or use a battery grip to get round the problem. Does most things well but not as comfortable with a large heavy lens as the equivalent DSLR would be, so keep that in mind if you use those lenses often. Otherwise a very nice bit of kit.
