      Great value printer

      Wanted a cloud-enabled, mono laserjet printer with copy and scan facilities at a sensible price and this ticks all the boxes. Taller than the Ricoh printer that it replaces, its footprint is much the same, while the deep paper tray is integral (hence the extra height), so size is not really a problem. In addition to my main requirements, this also has the benefit of printing double-sided, so saving paper. The only thing that it lacks is an automatic feed system for copying multi-page documents, but this isn't a problem for me as the copy function was secondary to having a decent wireless printer. Set-up was straightforward for my Chromebook and, with the printer permanently on standby, I can now print from wherever I happen to be in the house with just a couple of clicks.       Fiddly to set up but good print and scan image quality. Double-sided printing is a bonus.

      Set-up becomes confusing when an online download of drivers interrupts the CD set-up! I somehow ended up with very basic drivers and had to search the Brother web-site for the full driver package. The scan software is a bit clunky compared with my previous HP printers. (Why didn't Brother use the standard Windows 'save as' dialogue box instead of their own version, which is not as easy to use?) Otherwise, printing and scanning quality is good, so it's worth the effort in the end.

      Brother Laser Printer 2530

      Affordable machine for scanner and laser printer functions reliable as Brother usually do. Just read carefully installation instructions, then follow closely each step. My experience: I installed first the provided software on my Windows10 pc and the machine worked well under WI-FI. Then I installed the app MOPRIA on my phone Android Nokia6.1 and (under WI-FI) it worked perfectly too. This printer is MOPRIA certified that is positive, but it is not NFC. I noticed some Android tablets seem not to love working along, so after you get your job printed they "forget" that printer. If you have a broadband wi-fi router the most sensible choice is installing the printer this way.       Great air print, auto printing of both sides of paper.

      Compact easy to use after its set up. Getting to the point where you put in the wireless key is tricky as the usual inscrutable Brother instructions are as clear as mud!

      Excellent Value

      Very straight forward to set up even with Windows 11 after downloading the latest software, etc. Print quality is very good and as a bonus it prints double-sided which is extremely useful. Compact and able to print/copy smaller versions or reduced sizes - have not seen another printer with these features.
