I was aware that there was a crack on the back of the statue per the description. However, I think that's a slightly inaccurate description. In looking at the statue in person, I think Mary's head had broken off and was repaired at some point in its existence.(a good repair& not readily noticeable.) It as appropriately priced for the condition. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase
