    Smart, retro DAB Radio - Great sound!

    Bought as a present, it was very well received! For us its main purpose is a Radio/Alarm, a function which it fulfills well, with its 2 separate alarms - we use one for weekday, one for weekend, with each assigned its own specific wave-band/station/volume. This device does allow Bluetooth pairing to stream from smartphones/tablets, etc. and this is the full extent of its connectivity - we do not requre web radio. This Radio come complete with a chunky remote control which works well, but we do not bother using - possibly you would if sited in a kitchen or living-room. DAB and FM reception are great for us - The clarity of the sound allows us to run this radio at lower volumes than our previous Sony device - news bulletins are very clear and easy to listen to.     Excellent Ruark replacement

    Purchased after my Ruark R1 (Mk 1) bit the dust and with some latent unhappiness about the performance of my R2. Very pleased with all aspects of the radio. Excellent sound, easy to use and beautifully made. I think the RC is a little over the top for what is a bedside radio but that's my only criticism.
