    It works.

    This is the third ice maker to be installed in the same 10yo fridge. The original and the second were GE IM4-B and this is the final iteration, the IM6. Exact fit, plug and play.

    Easy to install, But

    Be careful when you order, the same GE part number comes in multiple configurations. You may need to swap water guide, end guide or even full ice cube sensor arm from Old unit. These typically do not come with instructions to swap parts and wrong option could cause ice cube overflow. Video on web show how to swap or replace.
