All fittings are larger than their designated size and taper slightly so that pipe fits more snugly at the bottom of the fitting. You are quite correct though the bush is more like 82.9, it is a Kockney Koi item and I would agree with you that although it is ok for its designed purpose it would be better if it was nearer to 82 mm. Appreciate you pointing it out hope its ok for your use....regards...Malcolm

Plus they fit flanges brought from internet which state imperial, but are actually metric. You can see them in action on my koi YouTube channel the Autistic Koi keeper. Small pond build playlist about episode 6 or 7. The option to bulk up different items ordered at same time to save on Postage would have been nice.
