      Boss BD-2 Blues Driver Overdrive Pedal

      I was looking for an overdrive that would sit, sound wise, somewhere between my JHS Soul Food (basically a Klon Centaur for about a fifteenth of the cost) and my Keeley modded Tube Screamer. Well, the Blues Driver was it. I've been playing guitar for 40 years and I can't believe I haven't tried one of these before! It has less mid hump than a tube screamer and more bite than the Soul Food. Perfect. It has a considerable range of gain, from just a boost right up to virtually fuzz, at its fullest. This just makes it more versatile! I looked at Keeley modded ones but, quite frankly, the stock pedal is fantastic and the mods don't really give you that much more, for an extra £50 quid. If you're in the market for an overdrive, I strongly recommend you try a Blues Driver. You'll thank me. ...

      Boss Blues Driver

      I really like this. I use it at home with a low amp. settling, perfect for practice or recording. I have a Boss 'Bassman' pedal - but prefer this, it seems to give a smooth sustain with out too much distortion. Can definitely recommend.
