Royal Mail never fail to disappoint at the worst possible moments but this is by no means the fault of the seller - they did their due diligence in all ways they could. In the end my CPU came back to me safe and sound and not that much later than it was expected to, and is now purring happily at a cool 75C max with direct die at some crazy clocks. Recommended!

My i7-8700k at 4.9ghz was hitting 100c and thermal throtting when running video encoding at 100% cpu for hours. After this delid running exactly the same workload it is hitting a max of 80oC. Would have preferred more communication from the seller, but the turnaround was quick and sent back with tracking.
