        Not a Tarantino movie

        This is a small movie. The script could have been turned into a Hollywood action movie. But there are no gun fights, fist fights, car chases or explosions. There is one gun but it is never fired. There is only one act of violence in the whole movie, late in the film. Peter Fonda plays a widowed, Vietnam vet, 3rd generation bee keeper from Florida named Ulee. His son Jimmy is in prison for armed robbery. Ulee is raising Jimmy's 2 daughters Casey and Penny. Casey is a 15 year old who is on the verge of going wild. She is played by Jessica Biel in her first film role. Jimmy didn't squeal on his accomplices so they are free. The accomplices find out through Jimmy's drug addicted wife that Jimmy hid some of the money. And they want it. Ulee finds out about the hidden money and makes a deal to ...
