      Works for full suspension bike

      These are my second set of Thule bike racks and are an upgrade. This design accommodates a bike with a longer length such as a full sus Enduro. I have also managed to carry a downhill bike on them, this is at the threshold of it's limits and I used an additional strap on the front wheel for my piece of mind. The ratcheting dial works well to clamp the bike and seems to be more gentle on the frame, the freeride version I had before tended to rub. I fit these using the T track bars which is super easy. A great way to carry bikes, I use them as a minimum weekly so they stay on the roof ready all of the time.

      Thule 598

      Spent a bit of time researching different carriers and ended up choosing this one for a combination of value, quality and ease of use. Fitting was straightforward and it’s really simple to use. Good to be able to lock bike in place but I will be using additional locks to deter as I don’t know easy the integral lock is to bypass.

      Great roof top bike carrier

      The Thule pro ride 598 continues the theme of offering simple but reliable and sturdy bike carriers for your vehicle. A better frame clamp and newly designed wheel straps make this a secure carrier with lock for extra protection. Both MTB or Road bike sit in the carrier without issue when travelling. Very impressed.

      Travel long journeys with it with no issues

      Just use a smaller girls bike, but really good. Held out on long journeys over the summer. Didn’t notice too much additional wind noise leaving the rack on the roof.
