These Terms and Conditions do not supersede your statutory rights under the Sale of Goods acts: they are merely designed to clarify the principles and procedures by which we operate. In any event, we aim to serve our customers fairly and directly. Should a dispute arise, we will always seek to find a quick and secure solution to the problem.
Privacy
At a certain point in the bigfurniturestore.co.uk website navigation (checkout), you may be asked to share your email address or other personal identifying information with us. As provided in these Terms and Conditions, such information will never be distributed to a third party and it will never be publicly visible without your express written consent. Your email address will only be used to send you the bigfurniturestore.co.uk newsletter and/or to alert you to any information that you have specifically requested you be notified about.
Payment
All payments are due upon receipt. If a payment is not received or payment method is declined, the buyer forfeits the ownership of any items purchased. If no payment is received, no items will be shipped. You will be notified if payments are declined. Payments for orders placed through bigfurniturestore.co.uk are by Credit/Debit Card and PayPal Transaction via our Secure Server, where your card details are encrypted before being sent to us, fully protecting any confidential information. Please note that card transactions are processed when goods are dispatched, not when you place the order.
Invoices & Receipts
We send a receipt for all orders, your invoice is usually sent via email. However, you may wish to receive your invoice either with the goods or to follow in the post. We can send a separate receipt direct to the purchaser.
Shipping Policies
Shipping will be paid by the buyer in the amount agreed upon by the seller at the time of purchase. If an item is lost during shipping, the total cost of item, including shipping, will be refunded to the buyer by the seller. Shipping costs may double if shipping internationally. If an item is damaged during shipping, seller will not be held responsible.
Goods Damaged in Transit
Unfortunately, we are not responsible for damage which occurs after the goods have been handed to the postal or courier service. However, should you be unfortunate enough to receive damaged goods, let us know immediately. Please retain all relevant documentation so that we can make an insurance claim against the carrier's insurers. If the parcel you receive is damaged, please note the fact when you sign for it, even before you open the package to examine the content. If you are unable to open the damaged package in the presence of the carrier, make sure that you sign for it as "Damaged package; goods not yet inspected" to warn the carrier that a claim may follow, or contact us as soon as possible for further advice.
Unavailable Goods
In the event that we cannot ship your order within 72 hours of receipt, we will notify you with regards to items delayed through lack of stock. In the unlikely event that we are unable to supply your choice of goods for some while, or at all, we will contact you for instructions. Providing a telephone number or e-mail address with your order makes it easier for us to contact you in this event. Please note that Card transactions are only processed when goods are dispatched.
Refunds & Returns Policy
Items are entitled to be refunded or returned based on complaint. If an item is damaged during shipping, a replacement item can be sent free of charge. If an item is unsatisfactory, a written explanation is needed before the item may be considered for a refund. Buyer must take into account the description of the item before requesting a refund. If the item matches the description by the seller and the buyer is unsatisfied, seller is not responsible for refund. Exchanges are granted on a case-by-case basis. Cancellation
An item may be cancelled up until payment has been processed. Once payment has been processed, the buyer is responsible for payment.
Cancellations by us
We reserve the right to cancel the contract between us if, for example; We have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered; We do not deliver to your area; or one or more of the goods you ordered was listed at an incorrect price, due to a typographical error or an error in the pricing information received by us from our suppliers. If we do cancel your contract, we will notify you by email and you will get credit by the same method of payment you made (Credit Card, Debit Account or PayPal account) as soon as possible but in any event within 30 days of your order.
