    Simple, elegant design and sufficiently well spec'd.

    It's a pleasant phone to use. The screen is 1920x1080, so full HD, while not being too large as to require two hands to operate. Unfortunately the battery isn't user accessible (as is the trend these days) but with little use I get just over 36 hours out of a full charge. On a busy day it'll still have 30-40% capacity come bedtime. The 8 core processor is a welcome upgrade to the 4 core CPUs I've had in the past. Frustratingly slow apps are much less frustrating (blame the app developers). The camera is sufficient. The colours aren't exceptional but slightly better than some mid-range Samsung smartphone cameras. The two-tone flash is a nice feature, as is the choice between 4K30 and 2K60 video recording.

    Great phone for the price

    I don't spend a lot of money on my phones, but love the Motorola range. The only problem is, like most manufacturers the phones just get bigger and bigger and I wanted as close to a 5" screen as possible. This phone's 5.2" screen is about as big as I want to go, so hope an alternative is available next time I need a new phone.

    Ideal replacement

    Bought to replace a Moto G5. I wanted a 5" screen and most of the smartphones I looked at were much larger. I mainly use the phone when out walking in this fits into a zipped security pocket
