Synopsis
The most widely played musical instrument in the world, the guitar is also the basis of American popular music. From the birth of a daring new musical style--the blues--to jazz, rock 'n' roll, and "techno rock," from Muddy Waters to Elvis to Eddie Van Halen, it has transcended the boundaries of mere instrument to become a true work of art and a cultural icon, its revolutionary transformations paralleling those of American society. Hundreds of close-up color photographs and expert text trace the development of the many types of guitar along with its musical and social legacy, since the early 1800s when C. F Martin first experimented with a radical new design--steel strings--through Gibson's hand-carved flat-tops, Fender's electric Stratocaster model, and today's high-tech marvels, including the 42-string Pikasso II. A fascinating excursion into guitar history, this is also an invaluable reference for the musician, collector, and music fan.

- k***s (3306)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseI purchased the book in "Like New" condition, but it arrived with water damage on the cover, which is visible in the photos I am attaching to this review. The seller refused to issue a refund, citing a no-return policy. They offered a partial refund, but I do not want a book in this condition. I am disappointed with this experience, as the seller misrepresented the condition of the book. I would not recommend this seller based on this situation.

- _***m (10)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseThe box and manual for the pump showed the Spectra Synergy Gold breast pump as did the eBay listing, but a Spectra S1 Plus pump was in the box. Then the seller tried to refuse accepting a return for the pump and refund me because I had received the pump AND opened a case against me for “not shipping” the pump back when I did ship it, plus the return shipping information had already been updated. Don’t bother buying from this seller. Not worth the trouble.Spectra Synergy Gold (SG) Dual Adjustable Breast Pump -New (#226445758473)
