    Silverline-Ratcheting-Anvil-Lopper-735mm

    these are great used them to lop of branches but as a bloke I overdid it to many time so just check the bolts as forcing them to cut bigger stuff loosen them 20 mm is easy I when way above that so cant really say I didn't 40mm plus but you do have to cut both side trying to do that - arrived quickly and serious hard wearing - bright green on handles so you can see if you have forgotten wear you dropped them

    Not what it says on the tin!

    The product is mislabelled as there is no ratchet! The blade linkage gives some mechanical advantage but it does not allow you to cut and then open the handles to cut a bit more as a ratchet system would. That said they are a strong solidly built pair of anvil loppers and ok for lighter lopping.

    Lopper

    Firstly it ain't ratcheting! That was clearly visible, but as I didnt want that style - I bought it! The blade is keen, hopefully it will stay that way. My previous lopper was a cheap telescopic that was very similiar. - this one lacks the length of handle that gives the torque I need but as I bent the old one's handles perhaps this will last the distance! An update to my previous rating of 3 stars down to 1! After a few months, I had cause to use this for about 30 cuts and it was fine. However I have just used again after the winter and the metal blade has become brittle, breaking up on cutting just 10-15mm shoots at various places down the length of the blade. I will buy from main dealer next time so I can return it.

    Does the job but they are not ratchet loppers as described

    Do not buy if you are wanting RATCHET loppers as even though the description says they are they are not. other than that the quality is good for the price
