      Best Multi Tool you can buy

      I had my first and identical Schrade for over 20 years (1993). Got it while stationed in Korea. Never pinched like Gerber or Leatherman and truly was the best of the bunch till I lost it a few weeks ago. None of the tools ever broke or malfunctioned. Love this tool. Hope to have this one for another 20+ years...

      Good enough

      Not the best or worst I've seen. Tools not designed well, but still functional except phillips screwdriver which is unusable. Would be better if it accepted 1/4" hex bits. Ruler should have been embossed on outside of the handles. It takes up space and is short. Tool is heavy and bulky. Good for carrying in belt pouch only, not pocket. Fit and finish is utility grade. You can clean it up substantially. I've been using it for a few weeks now and am happy with it, but need to replace phillips blade with something that fits phillips socket properly. Maybe also eliminate ruler and make space for hex socket. I bought it because it was cheap on ebay. I'm a technician, so always need some tool all day every day. Have been carrying some multitool for about 40 years. Started with swiss army knife ...

      Schrade Multi tool.

      Very high quality steel, unfolds unto a long set of pliers with very good leverage. Many useful attachments that will save you many trips down the lader for a knife or a driver or a saw or a wire stripper. You get the idea. It's good stuff.

      My favorite multi-tool

      I used the Schrade Tough multi-tool for many years as an aircraft mechanic. It's very good quality, especially considering the price. I highly recommend. I like that the blades come from the sides of the handle, giving your hand a smooth handle grip when using the pliers/cutters. Also, your can get a fairly long reach with the blades by pulling the handles into a straight line --this is can be especially helpful when using the screwdrivers! I don't think any other multi-tool can do it this well.
