    This purchase served its purpose

    We already had a Torbeck valve fitted but it was not sealing as it should so water was flowing down the overflow. Because the water cistern and the toilet basin had been sealed I was unable to change the valve completely so bought this as a source of parts to replace the old seals. It worked and we are now not wasting water. It is not a valve I would buy if I was doing a complete replacement I would chose something more expensive and of better quality.

    Torbeck ? Not from choice!

    I wouldn't use one of the Torbeck style valves by choice but many modern cisterns are to small to fit a traditional shuttle valve, mine included. The problem is they rely upon small holes that easily clog in hard water areas plus the diaphragms are unobtainable in small DIY stores and very expensive to replace. As for this product here, very good and fast postage thank you :)

    Replacement part

    DIY fitment to replace an aging part that blew itself to pieces due to water pressure. Worked straight off due to good instructions, including the fact that a valve was included where high pressure was evident. Be very careful not to cross thread the plastic water intake pipe!

    This item is quite reliable and good value.

    I can't actually rate the item purchased as it has not been fitted yet - it is a spare. However, the valve currently fitted is the same type and has worked OK for over 6 years. The item was delivered very quickly
