    Decent CPU for the price.

    Its overall a decent cpu. Specially if you need something better then a core 2 duo. Q8300 and Q8400 are fairly similar compared to the performance. Overall a decent cpu for a decent price. Postage came fast without any fuss.

    Good for average computing task

    Better performance to core 2 duo. The downside is your unit temperature is raised a bit more which sounds normal since the unit is using a bit more power.

    Very reliable processor!

    At these prices can only be bettered by a quad core processor (Hence four stars) but surprisingly little difference. The biggest change in performance comes with large memory added (8 GB or more) for instance. To get any better you would have to trade up to an i5 or even an i7 with six cores but the cost would be horrendous! Delivered on time, well protected and a great price. Recommended. Alan

    Bought my old optiplex 360 back to life

    Was going to sell my old Dell PC for parts as it is old and was not performing well anymore , with the old core 2 duo cpu and only having 4 gb of ram dont help , anyway thought id give this Quad core cpu a try as for the price was worth a gamble, luckily it paid off , i paired this with a GTX550 graphics card and now am playing GTA 5 at 1080p with no problems , so saved myself having to upgrade for now , i would recommend this processor to anyone who needs a power boost in the old LGA775 systems

    Quad core older technology uses about 90watts so needs a good cooler, great value as they come in at around £20 for a good used example.
