The base opens wide so the stand doesn't wobble but could also be narrowed to provide extra height. I am 5 foot 10 and don't need to do this as there is sufficient height in the stand anyway. The large page rest is great and can even be used with a thick music book or a tablet with no wobbling. It looks great and arrived in perfect condition Easily portable in its own carry case. GREAT value.
