Works very well. My problem is that it is too powerful. I wanted a small hotspot with a small transmission cell. I turned down the Transmission Power to the Low setting but even so the Wifi signal still gets to my neighbours.

    Well featured router

I bought this for a specific purpose, namely to provide an ethernet connection to a piece of equipment that needed Internet access, which I was providing via tethering my smartphone. If this means anything to you, I wanted to use a DMR radio via a Shark Openspot, and go out portable. It works very well indeed. If that is "gobbledegook", don't worry, accept that it worked very well for me. This is not perhaps a common configuration, but the Nano did the job well, offering "client mode" to do so. Radio Amateurs are using this exact same router the world over for this purpose. (In fact, my American friends told me which one to get). I measured the electricity it was taking, (often less than 0.1 amps at 5 volts) which was good for the portable, battery operated mode I planned. It is very ...

    Simple Product

This product while simple to program and make it do what you need it to, it doesn't link being reconfigured time and time again. I bought three of these to run with different setups to resolve this issue. Also, when used as a client on a wifi network with more than one access point of the same SSID I found it will not roam from access point to access point as it locks onto to both the SSID and MAC address of the access point. Ideal for a home network but no good in a business environment. I couldn't find a workaround for this issue, (fault?).

  • Great little Wi-Fi enabler

This is a fab little Wi-Fi tool. Configuration is easy and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. I wanted it as a Wi-Fi client to connect a set top box to the internet for video streaming. It does this this very well. I like that it can also be used as a Wireless router, a hotspot router a range extender or an access point. Physically, the unit is compact and seems reasonably robust - for domestic use, that is. I am very happy with this product, it does exactly what the sales description says it does.

  • Small yet very powerful

This is the Swiss army knife of networking as you can see from its emulator at the TP-Link website (search for: emulator site:tp-link.com). It consumes no more than 180 mA which is well below the maximum current from a USB port. This means that it can happily be powered from a Raspberry Pi upwards. The form factor is truly pocket sized at three fingers square and one wide, with minimalist design; USB micro power socket, gigabit ethernet, recessed reset button and green status LED. The latter will need some electrical tape if you use the router in a bedroom. Needless to say, there is no space for a fan so it is completely silent.

  • Tiny but powerful

I'm a photographer, and I use one of these on location shoots to basically drive a network when I have no access to real power or WiFi. It can run off my 12000mAh batteries for days, and has no problem handling several DSLRs, 3 or 4 tablets (with liveview streaming from each camera), laptops (for tethered shooting), half a dozen action cameras with phones for monitoring, and keeping everything running smooth. At home I use another WR802N to extend my wireless network to the back of the house upstairs, and the speeds are as good as if I were sitting right next to my main router. Absolutely top quality product. Would happily buy again, and can easily recommend.
