When connecting the Yamaha RX-V357 to the other units of the home theatre, it will use audio, analogueue, or optical cables. Dolby Digital comes standard on the Yamaha RX-V357, providing for quality sound for DVD and audio. SILENT CINEMA makes headphones sound better in the 100-watt receiver. The sleep timer on the Yamaha 5.1-channel can be set to continue playing for up to two hours, for every 30 minutes. HiFi DSP programs allow the Yamaha 5.1-channel receiver to make the music sound like various music halls, or to have the sound fit a different style, like jazz or rock. The 100-watt receiver allows for high quality stereo sound that is well suited to both music and video, along with a setting that makes video game sounds more realistic.
