Mixing size of bushing and router bit provides circles of sizes that are not in the set. e.g. using the 50mm inner ring, with a 16mm bushing and 3mm bit lets me create a circle of 37mm, that is 50 - (16-3) or, put in a different form 50mm - 13mm = 37. To provide a stable base for the router, it is worth using several of the rings together held with double sided tape.
