My Shih tsu is relaxed being combed with it and she normally goes bonkers when it's grooming time .Good for checking for nits and fleas, although she doesn't have any. Tough metal comb and teeth are still intact whereas previous combs bought from pet stores have broken off. Very good value for money. Glad I bought 2.
