I was lucky enough to buy this strimmer brand new on offer. I see it is now back to its normal price so I am more than pleased. Worx is a good brand and I am happy to say this strimmer does what it should although there are a couple of design features that let it down (in my opinion). The secondary handle is not 'fully' adjustable, basically loosely closed or open in two fixed postions. Not a problem, but a little odd. In order to move the main handle up or down, to get under furniture or use as a lawn edger, you have to press your foot down on the main body and force the handle accordingly to overcome the sprung loaded ratchet mechanism. I don't like this, a simple push button would have been far more satisfactory. Apart from that, for what I paid, a very good buy. As an aside, I managed to buy a three pack of Ryobi spool and line (RAC 123) from a well known DIY chain for only £3 (normally £18). A perfect fit with the right size line too; what a bargain.Read full review

Too easy to accidentally switch on and plastic line on spool easily unravels and jams making it hard to set required length of line. Nowhere to coil and store power line.

Tough little machine. Quite easy to put together instructions clear and easy to follow even for non technical person. Head does tend to twist round when coping with heavy duty clearing.

I'ts robust, dose the job your doing very well, strong cord, and a lot of power, would recommend any time.

The strimmer is a little awkward to use but the main concern is it is too easy to accidentally start it. Most of my other electric garden tools have a safety mechanism to counteract this. You automatically reach for the handle to lift it and press the start switch. It is quite powerful but I found lawn "edging" awkward to keep a straight line. this has replaced a old strimmer which was a lot easier to use.
