    Updates without notificationj

    This is still called the 3rd Edition, but contains IMPORTANT changes from earlier copies! Specifically it advises that dates of birth and death do not have to be memorised. As the Test questions can be on any aspect of the book, this is welcome amendment - however, this is NOT mentioned on the Life in UK website or UKBA websites. It really should be called the 4th Edition to avoid confusion. Don't use earlier books for study. Also query whether the information about the EU is relevant any longer, or does it still have to be learned as it is in the book. The book does not say where you can comment or inquire on its contents.

    Glaring mistakes on the first few pages

    The home office appear to not know the rules for being British or what rights those with indefinite leave to remain but not citizenship have. This is their third attempt. How can it be so bad! Just learn with a free app on your smartphone and avoid wasting your time. Typical Tory incompetence.

    Official Book

    There are a number of books available that claim to provide the content which should be studied to pass the residency test. From my research this is the official book and the 3rd edition/2018 is the latest version at the time of writing this review. The content is well laid out and the facts are condensed which is helpful for revision.

    The official guide

    Only bought as a necessity as HMG continues to discriminate against non EU partners. After £7k and still counting to provide my wife of 13+ years with a British passport, the price of this book is negligible.
