When I went back later, it was out, with occasional flickers when turning on and off, but mostly nothing. Today I have got the step ladder out again, so that I could twist and tweak the tube, but still only occasional flashes. Yes, I have fitted the dummy starter! If I refit the old fluorescent tube, and it still works,will you accept that exonerates the holder? BNG
