    Zacurate: best of three brands of oximeter I tried

    I ordered two other brands of oximeter at the same time. One brand, Philips Pulse Oximeters, has malfunctioned repeatedly, simply switching off before providing a readout. The other, by Techchip is reliable and I would recommend it for its quality. The Zacurate is the best of the three. It has a clean look and solid feel. It operates with perfect consistency and feels like a solid piece of equipment. It comes with a silicone sleeve that you can leave on.

    Not sure of its utility

    As good as any in measuring pulse and oxygenation, although the pulse reading bounces around a lot. It doesn't work well for continuous measurements so you have to take it off and put it back on for a good reading. I bought it to check my pulse while exercising but it's not really suited for that as a substitute for wearing a watch or ring sensor.

    Very useful item in today's pandemic environment

    I'm a retired Anesthesiologist and am familiar with pulse oximetry and pulse oximeters. This item is easy to use and appears to give accurate readings. The price was in line with other oximeters of similar quality. In monitoring patients with the Covid-19 virus, apparently many individuals have a pernicious decrease in blood oxygen level without feeling short of breath. This is a worrisome sign that a visit to the ER is in order. Due to the virus it is imperative that we be able to measure the oxygen saturation at home to determine if medical intervention is indicated. If it is indicated, the earlier that it is initiated, the better chance for a good outcome.

    Recommended brand and slightly inflated covid, hard to find price

    Bought it because this was a recommended brand and model. I knew that I was paying more because of its limited availability now. Oh well, it was new and seems to work well. Came within the given timeframe.
