      Ingredients in organic calendula oil

      This is actually an infusion of calendula petals into sweet almond oil. Note that sweet almond oil has a comedogenic (causing clogged pores / acne) score of 2 based on a scale of 0 to 5. Although a score of 2 is defined as 'moderately low' you would need to consider this if you intend to use it on sensitive skin. It caused clogged pores when we tried it on our baby's face. There are many alternative base oils for performing infusions with a comedogenic score of 0 so it is unclear why sweet almond was chosen, e.g., we have successfully used hemp oil, avocado oil, safflower oil, black seed oil, oat oil and jojoba oil. Every baby is different, so you should do a patch test first to be on the safe side.
