Seller made it clear that these pads would not work with rubber backed mats...and he was right. I bought them anyway because an old and heavy rubber mat worked well with a similar product for 12 years. Sadly the rubber backed hall mat I now have is very light and has a life of it's own. I have used the pads below it anyway and managed to staple one end of the rogue mat down, and together, it seems to be working. The mat seems to have been tamed!
