However, it was the "UHD Friendly" model described in the listing, except it had encrypted v1.05 firmware. I was able to downgrade flash it myself when I found the right instructions, and it was not too much effort. The drive is pretty good for the price, but it can't read certain high density UHD (BD-100) discs. That's true of most non-Pioneer drives, I think - YMMV.

I can flash the firmware myself so no big deal, however, people pay extra for drives ready to go. I will not buy from this seller again. The drives are in new condition and work well but are not "UHD friendly". Thanks for taking advantage of me and not doing your job.
