    Oooh, gritty...

    I bought this as a replacement for a stone I inherited from my grandfather. It is almost exactly the same, so technology hasn't moved on much has it? I am experimenting with only using water with this one to see if it gets as clogged up with metal particles as my old one does which had oil used on it. So far seems to be better and doesn't need constant top ups with oil. Plane blades, chisels and knives all sharpen fine. Not found any problems with it at all.

    Not bad for once a year DIY

    Okay for a have a go person but not for a professional, even if you want to use chisels to sharpen it is worth spending a few more shillings, and buy a better stone, however it does sharpen my chisels but I am a DIY man, so it will do for myself, recommended for the have ago person.

    Sharpening Stone

    Really happy with this. Convenient size for a shed not a pocket though. About 1ft long, 2" deep. Comes with a case for easy storage. I sharpened all my tools and they are now working fine. Would recommend.
