About this product

Product Information

The Irondale Cafe began in 1928 as a hotdog stand. It was purchased around 1932 by Miss Bess Fortenberry, the aunt of actress and author Fannie Flagg. Little did Mary Jo McMichael and her husband, Bill, know when they purchased the cafe from Miss Bess in 1972 that it would be immortalised by Fannie Flagg as the Whistle Stop Cafe in the hit book and movie Fried Green Tomatoes . Now, it's a cookbook!

As usual, this seller is completely trustworthy: the book was as described, terrific value, arrived very swiftly from America, well packaged and safe. It was an old library book, but in great condition and appearance, and there can be no criticism, simply thanks and praise for a job well done.

An excellent book lot of valuable information regarding all aspects of sewing. A very rare find as bought from the USA. Which was dispatched and and delivered quickly. Excellent communication throughout the transaction. This book was in very good condition as described and well packaged. Happy to highly recommend this seller with reasonable postage from USA. Many thanks.

Book as specified, rapid delivery (from USA to UK), and a reasonable price for an out-of-print book. Many thanks for that. Overall, my book arrived in "reasonable quality" packaging. A padded "book mailer" envelope was used. Inside, the book was wrapped in brown paper, to further protect it. One small constructive point of constructive feedback: perhaps cardboard packaging could have been implemented, as a number of competing book sellers are now implementing cardboard packaging.
